HOW TO WINTER-PROOF YOUR HORSES LEGS & HOOVES!

HOW TO WINTER-PROOF YOUR HORSES LEGS AND HOOVES

And how to avoid (or treat) mud fever, thrush and other common wet-wether related aliments.

If you’re looking for a way to protect your horse’s legs and hooves this winter, then we have the beauty routine for you.

Not only will this protect, but in turn will improve the health of your horse’s skin, coat, hoof walls and soles. This includes those with feathers and is particularly great for sensitive-skinned horses.

SOLUTION

Before turning out or riding in the wet

STEP ONE

Brush any loose dirt off the legs and pick out their feet.

STEP TWO

Squeeze a little COLLAGEN & KELP REPAIRING FONDANT onto your fingertips and allow it to melt a little and distribute between your fingertips. Using your fingers, apply the fondant to the skin of the legs going against the coat. You’re aiming to apply to the skin, not the coat/feathers. Be sure to pay the most attention to the heel and back of their pasterns.

STEP THREE

If needed, apply MEDI-THRUSH to their frogs. This can be done once per week, twice in extreme cases.
Apply PEDI-SPA to their hoof wall and the soles of their feet.

STEP FOUR

Spray STAY PERFECT all over their legs. You can carry on over their entire body if you’d like a full-body treatment and a very shiny horse!

VOILA …. Turn out (or ride) protected & healthy!
