RECOMMENDED FEEDING RATE

First 14 Day Initial Loading:

Pony - approximately 250kg 40ml per day.
Horse - approximately 500kg 60ml per day.
Large Horse - approximately 750kg 80ml per day.

Maintenance Thereafter:

Pony - approximately 250kg 20ml per day.
Horse - approximately 500kg 30ml per day.
Large Horse - approximately 750kg 40ml per day.

Shake well before each use. Mix thoroughly with feed and split between meals where possible. Introduce to feed slowly. Do not exceed the recommended intake.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Glucosamine HCL: Glucosamine HCL is a high purity & highly absobed form of Glucosamine. Glucosmaine is the basic building block of all connective tissues, including cartilage, in all forms of life. Studies have shown Glucosamine HCL to be very effective.

Chondroitin: Chondroitin sulfate is a major structural component of cartilage, bone, and tough connective tissues such as the whites of the eyes. Studies have proven Chondroitin Sulfate to:

 

  • Support production of cartilage.
  • Joint comfort

Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate have been shown in published equine cell research to work better together than either alone.

Boswellia: This plant extract plays an important role in our Gymnast blend. As always the human-grade quality of our products and ingredients is key. We use carefully selected Boswellia Serrata Extracts which are highly potent with a 10:1 concentration. Meaning one part of our extract is equivalent to 10 parts of the raw plant.

Hyaluronic Acid: Hyaluronan (HA) is a naturally occurring high-molecular-mass glycosaminoglycan found in connective, epithelial and neural tissue. Noted for its viscous and elastic properties, hyaluronan acts in joint spaces as both a lubricant and a shock absorber. It is one of the major components of synovial fluid, contributing to its overall viscosity and serving as one of the fluid’s essential lubricants.

Avocado and Soy Unsaponifiables: Avocado Soybean Unsaponifiables, known as ASU, is considered a vegetable extract that combines one-third avocado oil with two-thirds soybean oil.

Turmeric: A quality source of curcumin : a well known natural ingredient for the support of health & mobility in both Humans and Horses.

DOES MY HORSE NEED A JOINT SUPPLEMENT?

The simple answer is yes, your horse could benefit from a joint supplement! Whether a performance animal or pasture pet, GYMNAST helps horses feel their best. Perhaps your hacking horse feels a little stiff going down hills these days. Maybe your dressage horse isn’t changing leads with the same finesse. Or if you have a young horse, you’re probably interested in keeping his joints healthy for as long as possible. Any time is a good time to look after your horses joints.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO WORK?

We, as well as our customers, have seen significant and dramatic results after 4 weeks. Although improvement is often visible after just 14 days.

HOW LONG SHOULD MY HORSE TAKE IT FOR?

Advancing age, as well as exercise, can lead to a breakdown in the natural regeneration process of the joints. If your horse is in full-time work or is over the age of 10 then we do recommend that they stay on GYMNAST full time to keep their joints as flexible and as healthy as possible.

WHY IS GYMNAST A LIQUID?

A liquid form is readily assimilated and therefore is quickly absorbed in the tissues of your horse’s mouth and throat, providing joint support in as little as 14 days. Powdered or pill forms must go through the entire equine digestive tract, breaking down the delicate molecules and taking far longer for any remaining available active ingredients to get to the joint fluid.

LIQUID VS POWDERS

 

Based on clinical studies, not all the vitamins that you take are absorbed. It is the same for horses too, a lot of the vitamins we feed them end up going to your muck heap!

Liquid vitamins show an absorption rate of 98% while powders/capsules/solids can range from only 3 to 30%.

The National Advisory Board states that 100mg consumed in a solid form (tablet/capsule/powder) translates into a concentrate of only 8.3mg or 8.3% in the blood. Not only are liquids more efficiently absorbed, but they are also absorbed faster as they're readily assimilated. Wow, I honestly can't write how fantastic Gymnast is. You have to try it.
The difference it has made to both my competition horses is just amazing.
